Our layouts harmonise design with your corporate image, providing a flexible framework for your information. We adapt the layout depending on your information and the purpose of your publication.
We take advantage of functionally robust templates to implement consistent designs for large-scale publications. Layout design is based on structural concepts that outline the content structure and provide specifications for the layout.
Layout design for manuals
Our work is focused on designing layouts for all types of manuals – whether it’s instructions for usage, assembly, maintenance, repair, commissioning or servicing. We create layout designs for print and e-publications. Using sample pages with real content, the design shows you the layout as well as paragraph and character formats and fonts. Your corporate image should be expressed in the layout design, but the focus is on effectively reducing DTP work, since the layouts must be used for extensive multilingual publications.
Layout design for e-publications
The expectations for an e-publication layout differ considerably from those of classic print layouts. Similar to a website, chapters can be navigated and content is not limited to a page length. You can search the publication and read it in a less linear way than printed text. Conceptual guidelines help to keep the focus on the application and the target group. Naturally, we’ll align with your corporate image specifications and integrate audio or video as needed.
Layout design for quick guides
A layout design or concept only functions together with the content. When designing a quick guide, an integrative and presenting layout is required, where graphics and text form a unit. It’s easier to get started with complex applications when there is minimal information on each page. Quick guides are intended for starters; they are a quick reference with a low usage threshold. They should always be focused on a user group and complement a comprehensive manual. We use Adobe InDesign.
