Screenshots are an important way to describe software. Screenshots for instructions, training courses and quick guides help the user to improve their focus. You can give your users a quicker introduction to the software and help them to find and understand rarely used functions.
Through knowledge acquired during the authoring, our authors can fill the software with real data, so that they can create realistic screenshots. This helps to ease your burden when creating the source language and later the translation.
When working with many languages and difficult application routines in the software’s “demo mode”, it is helpful to recreate the screens in Adobe Illustrator or to select call-outs in SCHEMA ST4 instead of using screen dumps. Both methods enable the embedded text to be translated.

As an on-location service, we go directly to the site where screenshots can be taken at the system or simulator. There is no need for authors to be trained on the software, because the authors themselves have created the operating/service manuals. At Scriptor, we determine the file name, trim and graphic size before or during the layout insertion.
