Layout post-processing for 37 languages
Scriptor can also take care of the layout after the translation. Whether you want to receive finished documents in the final end-layout or do it yourself: the choice is yours. We can post-process the layout in all 37 translated languages using MS Word, FrameMaker, InDesign, PowerPoint, or layout recall in SCHEMA ST4. We can then publish as PDF, open-format or e-publication.
Languages follow their own rules, with varying word and sentence lengths. For complex publications, a post-processed layout step is essential (e.g. for Asian and Eastern European languages) to ensure a correct final version. We have decades of experience in dealing with layouts and their templates – with the goal of minimising the effort and delivering quickly.
Integrating screenshots
The required language-dependent graphics (e.g. screenshots) must be integrated before a final PDF can be generated. This task increases the complexity, but we will gladly take care of it for you. Let us know if you are interested in outsourcing your translations – you’ll be amazed just how affordable we are.
Print preparations
We take care of the print preparations for you. We discuss the details of colour management, resolution and trim directly with the print shop and export the PDF file along with the required job options. We would also be happy to maintain contact with the print shop and deliver the print files there on request. So there’s one less interface for you and your team to worry about.

As a full-service provider, we can deliver finished publications that require no further processing. After the authoring, translation, screenshot and layout, the final publication format must also be considered. This will usually be a PDF. It can be optimised for web or print. Other formats, including proprietary DTP formats, SDL package/XLIFF, XML or HTML5 can also be delivered.
